One day - 31 years ago in the year 1907 - when my father was going for lime to Woods kiln in the townland of Cavan County Leitrim he was along with the late Phil Kiernan of Ballyduffy. On the way Phil asked him did he know where Myles the Slasher was reared or did he ever hear the story. My father said he did not. So he showed him where he was reared on a hill overlooking Augharan lake and told him this story.
