    Local Prayers
    Prayers said when going to bed.
    4 Trace the letters I.N.R.I on your forehead with your thumb and say.
    Jesus of Nazareth, king of the Jews
    Through the merits of the same Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen,
    May the sols of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
    5 Every hour I give to thee
    For the past pardon me.
    For I know I soon depart,
    Hide me in Thy Sacred Heart,
    O Lord Thou should stand under my roof.
    Say only the word and my soul shall be healed.
    6 Here I leave down my head to sleep,
    To God I give my soul to keep.
    And if anything should happen me
    I trust in the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God to waken me,
    There are four corners in my bed.
    There are four angels overhead
    St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke and John
    God bless the bed that I lie on.
