That I may not cast away.
No More your Son to see,
O Blessed Virgin Pure of Heart
I hope you will pray for me.
13 As I went through the Holy Land I met the Blessed Virgin, seven mass books in her hand, seven candles lit, seven bells ring, seven priests sing. Lamb of God shut the gates of hell; open the gates of Heaven and let the poor souls in. It was on Good Friday morning that the Jews came with sharp spears in their hands and pierced our Lord from heart to hand. His poor naked Mother standing by with a dreadful heart and a noble mind. I say to you dear mother, whoever says this prayer three times by day and three times by night they shall never find the pain of hell or any bad thing. There are four corners on my bed, four bright angels overspread, Matthew, Mark, Luke + John. God bless the bed that I lie on.
14 It was a Good Friday the Jews came our Saviours Blood to spill, and with a lance pierced Him through the Heart. His sorrowful Mother standing by her pitiful wounds would make you cry. When I go to my bed I think of my grave, my soul the Lord to receive.
