- An oval shaped hole is made in the ground. Then ten thick rods are got and put standing upright around the edge of the hole. Then sally rods are got and bent in and out through the thick ones. THen the creel is made all but to put the bottom in it. THe bottom is put in it by getting sally rods and twisting them in and out through one an other until you have it finished. Then put the reel in the water for about a week the way the rods would not break.
