- I have a churn at home. It is about three and a half feet in height, and it is one foot and a half in width. The sides of it are round in shape. It is sixteen years old. It consists of a handle, a lid, and a stand frame on which the churn is laid on. There are straps of iron round the churn. There are also locks on the churn for attaching on the lid to it. There is a mark on the bottom of it namely - Leeds, Waide, and Sons, Ltd. Butter is made four times a week in summer, and about twice a week in winter. It is generally my mother who does the churning. If a stranger happens to come in when the churning is going on it is the custom for him(continues on next page)
