    Cures for the Whooping cough.
If a person suffering from the whooping, takes the food that a ferrot was allowed to taste he or she will be cured.
Another cure for the whooping cough is to ask a man owning a piebald pony what would he recommend to cure the whooping cough and whatever he recommends let it be given to the patient and he or she will be cured.
Another cure for the whooping cough is to ask the godmother of the patient to buy a red ribbon and let it be tied round the patients neck and he or she will be cured.
Another cure for the whooping cough is to drink out of a bishops skull. This skull must have been taken out of a grave and preserved by some person. There was one at Bron near Mullagh County Cavan some years ago but whether it is there yet or not we do not know.
Another cure is donkeys milk when given to a patient suffering from the whooping cough will cure him or her.
