Song (continued)
“One Sunday in the afternoon I heard a Mother's cry”
(continued from previous page)O had there been upon the scene,
some heroes stout and brave,
they would have ventured life & limb
His precious life to save
But none was found upon the ground
To venture for his sake
So he sank beneath the waters
Of that gloomy Quilea Lake.
Interred in Raffony old church yard,
Beneath that cold and silent clay.
For evermore to slumber,
Till the Final Judgement Day.
St. Michael sounds the trumpet
alas, he shall awake
Since he met his death at Quilea Lake.- Collector
