  1. There is a family of travelling folk called Rooney. They have three or four big vans and horses. There is a terrible band of them in it there must be eight children in it. They camp out at night on Garryross road. These come mostly at fairs.
    There is another old piper who plays pipes. He plays in fairs and the men give him money. He is a lovely old man with a long grey beard.
    There is another man called Murray who has two sons and his wife died. He has an ass and cart he sells a good many things. He is a nice man. He has an old house of his own.
