whack loudly and constantly. The ass crouches behind a sheltry hedge. The cow and horse stand staring in front of them. The dog curls up under the table after a long spell of barking, and the cat washes her face with her back to the fire. The swine snorts loudly also.
Even the little insects show warning. the cricket by the fire ceases his merry chirp and keeps still.
The snail leaves a white slimy path behind him, and the frog changes his yellow vest to a dark coat.
A straight line of smoke from a chimney betokens rain. A blue flame in the fire is a sign of storm. The distant hills look near when rain is on the way. When the train sounds loudly there will be rain and when the old people get back their rheumatism.
