  1. The people used to believe it was unlucky to get married in the month of May. They had a saying "Marry in May and you'll rue the day." The people. The people used to get married on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and sometimes on Sundays.
    People usually got married from New Year till Ash Wednesday Most of the marriages were before Advent.
    Men used to go up on horses and gallop from the spire of one church to another. The bride's drink used to be the first Sunday after the Marriage. Everybody who was at the wedding used to go to the house that day and bring a bottle of
