    Method for Oaten Meal Bread.
    It was first moistened with water and then spread out on the table and mixed out thoroughly, then it was flattened out in the shape of a cake It was put in front of the fire and supported by a grid iron.
    Boxty Bread.
    About twenty potatoes were peeled washed and grated with a grater. The method for making the Boxty - bread was the same as that used in a soda - cake. The hearth stone was cleaned and the cake was put down on it. The pot was hung on the fire and the turf was piled around the pot and in the morning when they rose the cake was baked
    They used to make it each day they needed it. They used to make the sign of the Cross, after they had it made, because it made it easier to cut
