    There was a Clerk in the Ulster Bank named Mr. Maxwell. He was a great swimmer it is not known where he is at present as he left Ballyjamesduff fifteen years ago.
    It is a fact that about 40 years ago every body around Co. Cavan was a great swimmer.
    There was a man named Mr. Timmins who lived in Castleraghan, and there was a race between him and a race - horse. The race - horse was beaten. The race was 100 yds on a bet for £20.
    There was a man named Mr. Lesson who lived in Derrylurgan, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan, who walked several times from Ballyjamesduff to Dublin.
