Till you're landed in new York
If you feel fatigued or tired
    And need a good café
Just call at "Smith's" in 14th street-
    He's from the Loughlanlea.
    You need no introduction,
Just walk up to the bar.
    Mention Muff or Kingscourt
    Lisnasassna or Drumbar,
He's sure to look you over
And I'll bet you'll hear him say.
"I think I know your features,
    Are you from the Loughlanlea?"
He'll start you a few questions,
    If business it is slow,
Such as "How is Michael Reilly?
Or the death of Porragh Joe.
    He'll tell you "In sunshine
Is the time to make the hay"
For you know he knows his business,
    When he's from the Loughlanlea.
