  1. (continued from previous page)
I am a rovin' hackler lad that loves the shamrock shore
My name is Pat McDonald and my age is eighty four
Beloved & well respected by my friends nd neighbours all,
Round sweet Stradone I am well known round Laragh & Grousehall.
When I was young I danced and sung and drank good whiskey too.
Each Sheebeen shop that sold a drop of the Rael Old Mountain Dew
The poteen still on every hill the peelers had no call.
On Patrocks day I loved to stray for
    pleasure to Grousehall.
I rambled round from town to townas hackling was my trade
None can deny or think but I an
    honest living made
For 'ere I'd stay the neighbours they'd
be sure to give a call
