From this fort there is a clear vies of another fort on the land of Thomas Cooney, Knockatagart, Clifferna, Stradone, Co Cavan.
Like all other forts this one is of a round shape and is surrounded by one fence of clay and gorse.
There is one small entrance in the most southerly side of this fence. In the centre of the fort there is a large flat stone which the old people say, conceals a crock of gold.
This is supposed to have belonged to the fairies and on this account nobody likes to explore it.
