“There is a well in James Driscoll's land of Burrane called after St. Imy.”
There is a well in James Driscoll's land of Burrane called after St. Imy. A lot of people used to be going there doing "rounds" and bringing bottles of water home with them. There lived a man named Pat Mangan in that land at that time and he filled the well with rocks thinking to close it but the water used to rise over the rocks. When James Driscoll got it he opened the well and cleaned it and built a wall around it and it is left opened still.- Collector
