    thoroughly frightened. I lifted the springs into their place and sat on that side of the car to steady it and drove pell-mell for home, a distance of five miles. On making enquiries I discovered I was not the only person who had uncanny experiences on the same spot, as the house was haunted. Nobody has ever lived there since though the house is in good repair.
