“Martie Nolan's sister and another girl in Killimer were in the bog one day.”
Martie Nolan's sister and another girl in Killimer were in the bog one day. They went into a field to eat their dinner. There was a fort in that field. Miss Nolan was a great dance.
When she had her dinner finished she looked into the fort and said if there is anyone in there come out and dance a jig and rell with me. The other girl told her she should not have said that.
Immediately A man came out and danced with her and she fell into a great weakness. She did not come out of the weakness until the priest was sent for and he cured her. His name was Fr Furness. He is buried in Killimer Chapel. Miss Nolan went to America afterwards- Collector
