  1. One morning as I went a walking around by the Revenue Quay
    To my dear old friend I was talking cocerning the grand scenery.
    Many ships I have seen from the Harbour their colour I like very much
    And I love a sweet walk every morning by the Beautiful town of Kilrush.

    Scattery is an Isle of great beauty. In that Island St. Senan did die.
    To his God he performed his duty and its their his good body doth lie.
    Seven churches are seen in the Island but they are now gone to ruin very much.
    Cappa I see is an honour to the Beautiful town of Kilrush.

    I have seen the great city of Limerick and read of the Sweet Colleen Bawn
    Her grave it is a grand relic as she sleeps in the churchyard of Burrane
    She was one of Erins gay daughters in Garryowen she was liked very much.
    He was found in the Shannon dark waters near the Beautiful town of Kilrush
