- There is a holy well at Molougha known as Saint Senan's well. It is situated beside Molougha lake. There is a large whitethorn bush outside the well and a few yards from this bush is a round stone. There is a wall built around and it was built by the Cunninghams of Molougha. A great many people come there to perform rounds on the feast of Corpus Christi, 29th June and 15th August. The feast of Saint Senan is on 8th March. The well is frequented for the cure of diseases and the waters from the well and the lake are supposed to contain a remedy for a toothache. The usual devotion is the performing of a "round" . There is a graveyard in the hill overlooking the well. In the field outside this(continues on next page)
