- We have ten cows at home. The house we keep them in is called a byre. We keep the hay in a hayshed and we give some of it to them every day. There is a wall between every two cows. and an iron bar is attached to it to hold the cows. Every cow has to be clipped each month for to keep them clean. Every night and morning the byre is washed out. While milking the cows the milker wears a white suit.
Long ago the floor of the byre was made of clay and they did not wear a white suit while milking.- Collector
