- There are a number of signs for the weather. Many people know when it is going to rain. The curlew cries, the goats come down from the hills the swallows fly low and the soot falls down the chimney,
When it is going to freeze the smoke goes straight up to the clouds. If the south wind blows we will have rain.
When the north wind blows we will have snow, and the same thing happens when the robin comes hopping to the door for food.
When there is a ring far off from the moon there is a storm at hand.
When the cats sits with his back to the fire and when you see a blue blaze in the fire we will have storm.- Collector
