In Clonflower fort it is supposed that a man started to build a house one day, and it was thrown because built on the fairies path. The old people say that on Hallow Eve night the fairies ride round all the fort on horses and often they take a good belonging to a man and replace a bad old one.
Everyone that lives near a fort tries to be home before the fairies some put on Hallow Eve night. It is said that you should never cut a whitethorn bush in a fort as the fairies will do harm to you
