  1. Woodfield (townland):- a translation of "Acadh na gCoillte" the original name of townland.
Cleragh (townland):- originally called "Acadh na gCléireach" (or "gClarach").
Toberania (well in townland of Cleragh) is called by people "Tober Áine" and long ago had a "Pattern" until it moved into adjoining field following pollution.
Cuiltebolia (townland):- corruption of "Coillte Buaille" - explained "Buaille" as "tree covered slope overhanging river". Certainly suits in the name "Mainistir na Buaille".
Derrynagoosan:- called it Derry na gCasán or "Doire na gCasán" explained that there was a "path" with ford across the river used by homegoing Arigna women.
