  1. 1. Michael Martin, Cleragh, made wheel barrows, creels, baskets, loy shafts and churns.
    2. Mrs Golden, Crossna, makes rush candles. She takes out the centre part of the rush and dips it in the grease of mutton, and leaves it by the fire side to dry.
    3. Tommy MacLoughlin, Bridgecartron used to do all the weaving for the people.
    4. Micky Gilmartin, Crossna, was a great fisher. Fishing was his chief occupation.
    5. Owen Martin, Woodfield was the best fowler for miles around.
    6. James Carroll, Borcullen, was a great poteen maker.
    7. John Canavan, Borcullen, used to make churns and fircins.
