  1. In a fort owned by Michael Martin of Woodfield, fairies were supposed to live. Every night at twelve o'clock a row of lights descended from the hill to the valley below. Maggie Mac Hugh whose house as at the bottom of the hill could never light any light or the door would be battered upon and swung open and much noise would be heard around the house till the light was put out.
