- One day two men went into Drumcormick wood to cut a stick. A neighbouring man wished to frighten them. As dusk was falling he lay outside the wall that surrounded the wood. He heard their voices as he thought. He stayed ever so long but nobody came out.
At last, he decided to go as far as them. When he entered the wood there was nobody to be seen. Try as he might he could not leave it. Horses trotted backwards and forwards through the night.
