- There is a house built on a fairy pass near Cloughjordan and the family who was living there could not retire until midnight with the fairies because they were always disturbing them. They always had to leave a can of spring water and a can of milk to keep the fairies away.
- There is a house in Ollotrum near Monegall and the gate of it is built on a fairy pass and it is said if they put a hundred locks on it that they fairies would have it open in the morning. For those late years they put not lock on it at night.
