    axle are made perfectly round in a machine called a lather. Metal boxes are fitted on the axle which is then ready for use.
    Arrangements are now being made for the manufacture of steel bars an (sic) sheets in Ireland and it will therefore soon be no longer necessary to import them from abroad. This will mean that everything necessary for the manufacture of the articles made at Tyone may be procured in Ireland
