  1. An Irishman emigrated to America. He had not gone to confession for forty years. While he was walking through a street he met a priest. The priest asked him to go to confession. He said I am ashamed I have not gone for forty years. Next day he made up his mind and he said he would go. He went to confession. The priest asked him had he any sins and he said no. The priest asked him was he sorry for anything he ever did in his life. The man said I am sorry I ever left old Ireland.
