    time. The man who owned the field where the well was thought the people were doing too much damage to the field and he closed the well. The priests maid went for a bucket of water that evening and she found the well closed, she told the priest when she came back. He said nothing but the following morning the well was open again. The man who closed the well died after of Diabetes.

  2. There was a well in Doughmore long ago near Shanahan's. One night a bad deed was committed at it and the following morning it was shifted away to about a 1/4 mile at the back of Clohane's school. It was a great well for sore eyes and headaches and is still good.
