    And some people also leave the fire lit and put chairs round it. Some put a penny into a dish of water and se who can get it out with their mouth.
    Others put a sixpence into a dish of flour and se who can get it and who ever gets it keeps it.

    It is said to be unlucky to put on one shoe and stocking before putting the other one on.
    If anyone drops a knife and lifts it him or herself it is said to be a disappoint but if anyone else lifts it for them, the one that lifts it will get an interaction to someone
