there was no trace or sign of the gold. There is a verse which says.:-
    Loughgraney a handsome place,
It lies within a lovely vale.
The lofty trees of Dillon's wood,
Defend it from the western gale,
When hares and hounds from o'r the ground
    And huntsmen tour right speedily
Where lads and lassies dance and sing
    On the lovely banks of
    Loughgraney.

Some of these myths are not true although some are supposed to be.in this district there are a great many places in which treasures are supposed to be concealed.About ten years ago there was an old man living in a cottage near where myself now resides.he was very extraordinary in his ways and on one occasion he hid a crock of crowns under a flag in his house and it was found lately. This was one of his extraordinary ordinary ways.he was very fond of money and he used to dream about it.He dreamt one night that there was a pot of gold under a large flag in his tillage land.
