Curracloon isle and it is said it is there still.I never heard of anyone digging for gold.
- there are a good many stories told about hidden treasures in the vicinity long ago.Some of these stories are supposed to be true but some of them are false.There is supposed to be a crock of gold hidden in Coill-og by some stranger long ago. When the Danes were plundering our country they were often pursued by the Irish and they often hid gold in this vicinity.there is supposed to be a large pan of gold hidden in Corlea .
