  1. there are a good many stories told about hidden treasures in the vicinity long ago.Some of these stories are supposed to be true but some of them are false.There is supposed to be a crock of gold hidden in Coill-og by some stranger long ago. When the Danes were plundering our country they were often pursued by the Irish and they often hid gold in this vicinity.there is supposed to be a large pan of gold hidden in Corlea .
    One day it is said that a crowd of men went digging for the gold.The day was very calm and they had a good deal dug,a gust of wind came up from the hole and it blew the hats from their heads .Then they became afraid and they dug no more.
