since.There is a field by a wood and it is called by the name of "Stinchins"farm.It is said that people by the name of Stinchin lived there and they sold it to a man and it is called Stinchins farm ever since. - There are a great many of the Local Place names in this vicinity.They are usually called by by different names.We have a field at home and it is by the name of Poll buidhe because the clay is yellow in it.Also I know another place by the name of páirc na n-úan why it was called that ,because the lambs were always found growing in it. Another place I know that is called by the name of Knockbeha which means the hill of the Birch.Another place I know is páirc geata it is the gate field.Also coill beag why it was called that because it was a young wood.
- There is a good many names on fields and places on account of some incident which happened there.Knockbeha is called the hill of the hill of the birch. Flagmount is called the forehead of the flags .The beárna(continues on next page)
