just related goes to show that any disease may be cured there by faith. People drink and rub the water. They also bring home some water. They leave flowers, medals, beads and emblems of devotion at the Well. They leave them on St Michael's alter. There are no fish in the Well. One time a gentleman owned that place. There were no trees in the land but one which was over St Michael's Well He cut one inch in with the saw. He could not cut anymore but he hit it two blows of the hatchet. Next morning the tree was removed twenty yards over the field. The tree can be seen yet and the mark of the cross-cut and hatchet can be seen to the present day. There is one big tree near the Well.
