    St John's Day
    The eve of this feast was a bonfire night. In this parish people used to visit the holy well and make rounds.
    St. Martin's Eve
    A fowl is killed and the blood is sprinkled in the four corners of the house in the middle of the kitchen and behind the door.
    November Night
    This was a great night for pishogues. The girls used be trying their fortunes. Every farmer tried to have all his crops stored before that night or the pooka would destroy them.
