    There was a Wild Killonan Boy,
    And Downing was his name,
    He was reared in Ireland's sunny land,
    In a place called Castlemain,
    He was his mother's only son,
    His father's pride and joy,
    And over the hills of Australia
    Went this wild Killonan boy.

    At the age of sweet sixteen,
    This boy began to roam,
    To rob the rich and serve the poor
    Was Dan's delightful joy,
    And over the hills of Australia
    Went this wild Killonan boy.
