- There are several games played on certain feasts of the year.
For instance, on Saint Brigid's day the people go out and get some rushes and turf and they put these into a fairly large basket to represent St Brigid's bed. This is left close to the fire. In the morning when the people get up they examine carefully the ashes to see if there is any supernatural footprint of any description left in it. If so it has been said that she has been visiting the house during the night. The people used to go about with a belt which they called the Girdle of Brigid.
