- Dolmens are very common in countries that border the sea and on that account they are very common in our country. A Dolmen consists of a large flat stone placed upon two upright stones to form a table. Some of the old people say that these stones were put up to mark the burial places of chieftains, and leaders who died long ago(continues on next page)
