told me that one night when he was coming home from a visiting house where he had been playing cards he saw a number of men seated around a large rock playing cards, they would not allow him to go home. When it was very near dawn the men disappeared under the rock and they never was seen again. I was also told that a man who was cutting hay near this fort tripped in a stone and cut off his foot with the scythe.
I heard above story from an old man named
