the woman and her clothes disappeared, and Micky was left alone on the lonely Hangman's Bridge.
The man who told me this story was Richard Walsh of Gregg in the Parish of Aughagower. He says that the woman was a bean sidhe, and that several people as well as Micky Moran have seen them washing clothes, but he did not name any other person. He also says that they can be seen at the washing any time after dusk, and that they cry around certain houses when some member of the family is about to die.
Micky Moran and Harry Hughes are now two very old men both living in the Lankill districk.
