“A big black dog was often seen at Mulmeentra...”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)about eleven o'clock in the night. He used be seen about every third night.
One night when four men were coming home from Taghmon they saw this black dog coming up the road against them.
The dog came up and walked right between them and then it disappeared.

The men coming from playing cards often listened to her keening. When any members of two certain families die she is always heard near their homes.
