(continued from previous page)about eleven o'clock in the night. He used be seen about every third night.
One night when four men were coming home from Taghmon they saw this black dog coming up the road against them.
The dog came up and walked right between them and then it disappeared.
- "The School House Field" (There was a school there in the year 1848)
"Byrnes Meadow".
"Street Field" (The field belongs to Cullens. Twenty families lived there long ago).
"Castle Field" (The walls of an old Castle still there).
"Pipers Field" (The field was owned by a piper two hundred years ago).
"Hand Field"; "Kiln Field2 (Where the farmers used to turn their lime about 60 years ago.) - The bean sidhe was often heard passing by my grandfather's place down a bye lane. The men coming from playing cards often listened to her keening. When any members of two certain families die she is always heard near their homes.
