   Notes debris a 'Holy Water Font' which was removed and placed in the Belfry of St Patrick's Church, Patrick's St, Castlerea, where it can be seen at the present day, 1938. "In the days of my childhood" Continued the old man who contributed the above notes "I knew an old man who in his bare feet attended Mass in the Church built in the hollow ar Arms."

   On the morning The French landed Kilalla the Church built in the Grave yard at the end of the town was slated. A man named 'Chalk' was the Plasterer of the said Church.
