He heard the stories from his father & old men who lived in the locality between 40 & 50 years ago.- There were two women living out near the Mountain Barracks who, time this morning, they were having the stations, they slept it out.One of them was milking the cows & the other was making the churn and they had nothing on ‘em only their shifts.The priest came on up the boithrín and came into the yard.“I beg your lave, father,” says she, “we hadn’t time to dress ourselves. Go lad & go and make the bit of butter in me shift.”
