“One night a vision came to John Freston of Cottage and told him that he would get a pot of gold in Walshe's hill at the back of Waldrons' forge in Johnstown.”

They came out to the back of the forge to the hazel bush one on each side.
They smoked and during that time John Treston passed the tongs and fire across to the blacksmith.
After that they returned to the forge and Mr Treston went home.
Next morning when the blacksmith went to the back of the forge he got a hole dug underneath the hazel bush and the spade left near.
He bethought of himself that there was a treasure found in it.
Mr Treston then stocked his land for he was very poor at the time and built a new house and all the neighbours wondered where he got his riches but they heard afterwards it was under the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
