  1. Dillon was the name of the landlord in this district. He was looked upon as a good landlord but some of his agents were bad and wicked. He resided in Loughglynn and his tenants had to go there with the rent and to do a days work for him.
    The tenants had about ten to twelve acres of land then and it was divided up between the children when they got married. The cows and hens were kept in the house that so as the tenant would have a bit more land. The oats and potatoes were kept up in the loft.
