    into the outhouses. Paths had to be dug through the snow but many of these were covered up overnight. The old people say that you could not see a blade of green grass for a month.
    In 1917 there was another snowstorm in February and the snow did not go till May.
    In 1924 much damage was inflicted on the farmer's haggard by heavy rain and high winds. Half of the cocks of hay were destroyed and the oats also suffered.
