- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)was very jealous of her step-child and she was getting more and more cruel day by day to the little girl.Since the child was ten years of age, she was occupied from morning until night looking after the cattle and other domestic animals. At that age that work was too severe for her, but to add to her misfortune she was almost starved, the stepmother only gave her the bare means of existence. When the child came in to her dinner she simply got the crumbs, that were left after the others took their meal and the same occured in the evening. Day after day the same thing happened and the little girl began(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
